This blog entry might sound like a promotional blog about Lone Star College. Though that is NOT my intentions. I spend a lot of time at school and frankly I don't have anything else to take pictures of. But luckily, this place is not such a bad place, it's actually very pretty and ALIVE! There's actually stuff happening during the week for the students to enjoy and places to roam around. So last week, Student Activities held a fall festival and I decided to skip class that day (Calculus class! I have never skipped a math class in college before...pretty exciting) and enjoy the free entertainment and enjoy the BEAUTIFUL weather we had that day. Definitely worth the "catch-up" notes and homework that I would have to deal with soon.
The just put up that "Lonestar College" sign a little over a month ago. And here's a picture of the waterfall infront of the school (I've been here for a little over a year and I just realized that there's a waterfall at campus... smh) isn't it pretty :)
So you're not suppose to fish or ride on a boat in this lake because it's a Katy Prairie Restoration area.... as you can see by the sign on the picture. There's ducks there and fishes... sometimes you see this white bird with really long neck and legs... I think it's called a pelican.. I don't know but it's pretty.
There's a walking/running trail going around the campus and the lake. Here are some shots of things you might see when you're cruising on this trail.
Some things that happened at the FESTIVAL!
Rock climbing!
There was free Hennah tattoo as one of the activities. This lady was awesome. It takes her under three minutes to place the tattoo on your body AND she had one arm broken. Ninja Skills! :)
Mine came out like this.
Look who came to visit! Julius Caesar!
There was also entertainment at the festival. This is the dance team from the school.
And what kind of college event doesn't have FREE FOOD! There was pretzels, ice cream, and POPCORN courtesy from these guys from the Student Government Association :) YAY!
OKKKK That's it for today folks :)
Come back next time for more pictures.....
