Abbey Road and Picnic

I went on a picnic yesterday with a few of my friends by the lake at Lonestar College Cyfair campus.  It's a really nice place to hang out and it's sort of out of the way, which makes it the perfect short distance getaway. I've only met the people in these pictures two months ago, yet I hang out with them all the time now. How weird is that?! haha It's all gravvyyy.....

The Beatles' Abbey Road album cover replica! It took a whole bunch of tries to get this shot. And we shot it during heavy traffic hour (that was dumb on our part). But it makes for a great picture AND STORY! I can't help but giggle every time I see this picture.

Anyone ever heard of Frozen Cafe?? Good stuff..... went twice this week. It's a frozen yogurt shop where you self-serve yourself frozen yogurt (duh!) and you get to put in as little or as much topping as you want. Then you pay by the ounce.... YUMM! And because it's yogurt, it's also good for you... SCORE!

It took a long time for me to actually get back to this blog. School, homework, test, labs, work, ... Blogging was sort of on the bottom of my priority list.
And editing is time consuming! I have to be in the mood for photoshopping in order for the creative juices to flow. Hahahah. I'll try to do this more often because I do enjoy it.

I Did It!!

I created this blogger account almost a year ago because I was bored, I wanted something to do. BUT I didn't know what to tittle it because I didn't even know what I wanted to write about. So a year later my sister convinced me to buy a DSLR camera. I've been wanting one and I was even planning to take photography next semester so I thought., why the heck not?


Last month, I finally got a used Nikon D40 along with a the 18-55mm kit lens from this guy on Craiglist. (I love Craiglist!) I've been taking pictures non-stop ever since. It's so much FUN! I carry my camera everywhere with me now. I take it to school, when I got out to eat a burger, anywhere there is people and things to take pictures of. Although not a lot of those pictures are worth posting up. The point of taking those pictures is for me to get used to the camera.

Anyways.... NOW, I know what I want to tittle my blog with and what to write about. I LOVE MY NEW HOBBY! HAhaha can you tell??? If you can't, keep reading my blog and soon you will know.

So, I'd like to thank my sister for giving me the push to go out and buy a camera and another push to start this thing.
